Jason Movrich & Friends is a high-energy, Bay Area musical collective that masterfully fuses soul, funk, jazz, rock and blues into an unforgettable live experience. Formed by guitarist and vocalist Jason Movrich, the ensemble features a rotating cast of premier West Coast musicians, ensuring each performance is filled with fresh, spontaneous improvisation. From deep, syncopated funk grooves to soaring rock guitar riffs and blazing sax solos, this versatile group brings an infectious energy to festivals and venues nationwide, consistently getting audiences on their feet.

July 2 | Music Under the Palms – Sweet Marie & The Suspects

Join us for the high-octane soul, R&B, funk, and rock sounds of popular Bay Area band Sweet Marie & The Suspects. Known for their energetic live shows, their extensive setlist spans decades of danceable hits, featuring high-energy covers of iconic artists such as Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, and Tower of Power.

July 9 | Music Under the Palms – Andre Thierry Accordion Soul
Time: 5:00pm – 7:30pm

Andre Thierry and his band were such a hit earlier this season, we’ve asked them to come back for a second Music Under the Palms appearance this year!

Always with the good vibes and tunes you know and love, Andre Thierry brings a unique Kreole sound that will have you dancing all evening long under the palms. The Washington Post says Andre is, “A master at pumping out fast, funky rhythms on an instrument not usually associated with earthy syncopation. A versatile student of the music, Thierry can’t be lumped into Zydeco’s old-school R&B-influenced camp or its nouveau, rap-inspired one: He and his band lay down both soulful, traditional slow-dances and bottom-end-booming kinetic groovers.”

Ariel Marin is a refreshingly eclectic inspirational singer with an angelic voice. Her unique music is heavily influenced by a of multitude of styles including folk, rock, funk, r&b, gospel, classical, and pop to name a few.

Having grown up in a musical household and community, Hattie Craven has lived and breathed music since her early years. Her father, award-winning performer and educator Joe Craven, has been a continuous source of inspiration, fueling Hattie’s own exciting musical journey.

Hattie draws musical influences from Amy Winehouse, Joni Mitchell, James Brown, Louis Prima, and so many more. She effectively reimagines traditional folk, bluegrass, country, jazz and pop, creating new music that is truly her own.
